The Story Behind Positano Santa Lucia

While celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary on the Amalfi coast, owner Wes Hall was struck by the beauty and incredible cuisine of the region. He was in awe of the scattered mountain-side hotels all overlooking the Mediterranean Sea full of gorgeous yachts and sailboats. This view reminded him of the views of the harbor and mountains in Saint Lucia, specifically the views from the sixth floor of the Harbor Club. Nostalgic for his amazing experience in Italy, Wes decided to bring a slice of the Amalfi Coast to Saint Lucia and thus Positano Santa Lucia was born.

Meet Chef Pasquale Ruggiero graduated from Le Streghe catering school in Benevento, Italy before joining prestigious Michelin starred restaurants such as Locanda del Nataio in Lake Como and Locanda Margon in Trentino. His passion, along with the collaboration of chef Marco will help elevate Italian cuisine in Saint Lucia to the next level. Chef Pasquale is dedicated to developing unique recipes utlizing the fresh produce and protein that this beautiful island offers.

Meet Chef Marco Cromer developed his passion for Italian food while growing up in Lake Garda in Northern Italy. He graduated from Caterina de Medici and has worked throughout Europe during his career, including a stint at Michelin starred Piazza Duomo, before moving to the Caribbean. For over 13 years he produced some of the finest cuisine in the Caribbean at Daphne's and now brings his talents to Saint Lucia.
